Garuda Ayurveda Amla powder 100 g

Traditional Ayurvedic preparation with high natural Vitamin C content and Indian Gooseberry (Emblica officinalis, Amla).

Amla powder is obtained from the fruit of the Emblica officinalis tree. Ayurveda uses all parts of the Emblica officinalis plant, along with its fruit, seeds, leaves, roots and bark, for a wide range of therapeutic purposes for their general tonic, restorative, detoxifying and toning effects.

Amla is a very valuable source of vitamin C and has excellent antioxidant, cell protecting and immune strengthening properties. Each 100 g of amla fruit contains 470-680 mg of natural vitamin C. It is rich in minerals (e.g. calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium), carotene, carbohydrates, thiamine and riboflavin, fibre, antioxidants (polyphenols and flavonoids) and can therefore boost the body's resistance*.

Amla fruit, dried and ground into a fine powder, is also used in cosmetics for its beneficial effects on the hair and scalp. It nourishes the hair follicles, promotes hair growth, conditions the hair, adds body and vitality to the hair and may help prevent premature greying.
